Nicholas A. DiGiovanni June 30, 1930 - November 18, 2009 Nicholas A. DiGiovanni, 79, of Grand Avenue, died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital. After serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Cabot, Mr. DiGiovanni became a barber, known to family and friends at Nick the Barber. Mr. DiGiovanni was born in Manhattan, N.Y., June 30, 1930, the son of Anthony and Angela A. Maffeo DiGiovanni. He married Josephine Scrivano Dec. 29, 1950. Survivors include his wife; sons, Nicholas DiGiovanni of LaCriscenta, CA, and Anthony DiGiovanni and John DiGiovanni, both of Columbus; daughters, Anna Scudder of Columbus and Gina DiGiovanni of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Rose Holley of Bayonne, NJ; grandchildren, Tonilynn, Danny and Stephanie Harman, Samantha Scudder, John and Erin DiGiovanni, Elijah Rook and Nicole Abruzese; and great-grandchildren, Kameron and Makenzie Harman and Gonzo Aesop Stripling. Funeral Information SERVICES: A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Gil Hawks officiating.
