  2. Dr. Secrest and staff are deeply saddened by the news we just received of the passing of Norma. We’ll always remember her fondly and feel fortunate that we had the pleasure of knowing her, seeing her sweet smile, and sharing a warm hug. Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. • I have fond memories playing with Paul and Ellen when I was growing up in the house on 16th Street, across the alley from Hausers. We’d play whiffle ball and kick the can in the alley, swing on the tree swing plus the swing set in Hausers’ yard, roller skate in our driveway and bike around and around the block. I remember Norma taking my sister Barbara and I with Paul and Ellen to the Rivera swimming pool in the Indianapolis area and thought that was a fabulous treat! Norma was the youngest mother on the block and I thought she was beautiful! She was the only mom who actively played with the neighborhood kids outside and that was special. Norma taught us to play the card game called Spoons where we had to balance a spoon on our noses and I thought that was hilarious! I remember sitting with Aunt Bea on the porch doing crossword puzzles and occasionally watching a movie down in the Houser basement. Such a wonderful family! I hope Paul and Ellen read these memories and I wish them well. Sincerely, Nancy Segebarth Garrett, Grandville, Michigan. (Husband Ronald Garrett). Reach out to me on Facebook.
