Pat Lucas, 75, of Columbus, passed away on December 13, 2023 at Majestic Care of Connersville. Pat was born March 1, 1948 in La Grange, Kentucky, the daughter of Leroy Boldery and Elizabeth Dean Purvis Rowlett. She married Richard A. Lucas on November 23, 1994. Growing up in Milton, Kentucky, Pat enjoyed the simple things in life. Like, sitting on the porch drinking coffee, visiting with her girls, crafting, going on motorcycle rides with her husband, and playing video games with her children and great-grandchildren. Most of all, Pat loved singing to her girls when they were little, reading the children’s Bible to her kids every night, spending time with her family, attending cook outs and family gatherings, and especially the last few years taking care of her great-grandchildren, Skyler, Aleena, and McKenna. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Lori Adams, of Columbus, Rebecca Taylor, of Richmond, Dana (Steve) Combs, of Orleans, Kelly Purvis, of Columbus, and Ryan Purvis, of Columbus; many grandchildren including James David Eric Purvis (Amber Williamson), Gracie (Devin) Leffler, Heather Purvis, Ashley Hayden, Nathaniel Swanson, Brandon, Derek, and Taylor Combs, Amanda Blanton, and Jesse Taylor; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tracy Gail Rowlett Buchanan, of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Boldery and Elizabeth Dean Rowlett; a daughter, Angela Kay Purvis; as well as sisters, Sheila Richardson, and Arthetta “Sue” Boldery, and her beloved four-legged friends, Max, Taz and Jake. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Branum officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Southerncare Hospice through the funeral home.

    We are going to miss you so much. We have seen and done some crazy things, we weren’t ready for you to go ,you were the oldest cousin, I had a lot of questions about family things, but I guess the sweet lord had other plans for you . We love and going to miss you so very much.
