Patricia A. Schultz, 82, of Columbus, passed away September 21, 2022 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Patricia was born April 10, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Georgia Elizabeth Van Vleck McCaulley. Patricia’s parents were blessed with 5 children. Sam, Bill, Steve, Jackie, and Patricia. She married Jerry Schultz on November 21, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford, Illinois, and spent 52 wonderful years together. Patricia retired from Silver Oaks Health Campus as an Administrative Assistant after several years of service. She had served as Past President of VFW Post #5149 Ladies Auxiliary in Rockford, Illinois, and enjoyed crocheting, fishing, gardening, baking and cake decorating, playing slot machines on her computer, as well as loved playing bingo. Most of all, Patricia loved spending time with her family. Being together, making memories with her family, those were the most important things in Patricia’s life. Patricia is survived by her husband Jerry; her sons Douglas Albright, David (Patti) Albright, Mark Rockwell, and Dennis (Stephanie) Rockwell; daughters Denise (Randy) Thomas and Carla Fields; grandchildren Diana, Davy, Eric, Christopher, Nicholas, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Jasmine, Tanner, Wayne, Dayne, Dominik, Ayden, Micah, Elizabeth, Elana, Miles, Ashton, as well as Liam. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Susie Rockwell; and a great-grandson Landon. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 7th Street Church of God (2005 7th St.) with Rev. Jerry Ballard officiating. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Schultz family. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.     We won’t be able to attend the funeral but will say prayers for ALL of you

  2. I always took a little extra time with Pat And Jerry, when I made my Avon drop offs. They always made me feel welcome into their house. If I arrived when Jerry had been baking, I went home with one of his loaves of bread. It was a special time if Miles was there also. Pat had such a kind sweet heart. She will be missed by friends and family. She was truly a lady to love. My heart goes out to all of you, especially Jerry.
