Patricia "Pat" Meier

(A link to donate online may be found on the bottom left of this page) Patricia “Pat” Meier, 78, of Columbus, passed away at 10:46 a.m. on October 3, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital.Mrs. Meier was born June 8, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Elmer Louis and Gladys Dorval (Bell) Snyder.  She married Dale Leroy Meier on December 4, 1960. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed card games, word games, camping, fishing and spoiling her faithful dog, Katie.  She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.   Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, whom she actively followed in all academic and athletic activities. Pat retired from Bartholomew County Youth Services Center in 2015.  Previous employers include CHAMPUS, Carl L. Williams Realty, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and Union Starch. Survivors include her daughters Terri (Jim) Olmstead and Traci (Joe) Sitterding, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Sitterding. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
