Patrick H. Everroad, 75 of Columbus, passed away at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida to William S. Everroad and Victoria V. (Taulman) Everroad on December 6, 1945. He married Janice Arney Everroad on August 31, 1974. The couple has two daughters, Jennifer (Jason) VanOsdol of Columbus and Jill (Jason Crain) Everroad of Hope. They also have two grandchildren, Ethan VanOsdol of Columbus and Hunter Crain of Hope. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Brands Lumberyard and later retired from Enkei America, Inc. in Columbus. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Columbus. Survivors include his loving wife, children and grandchildren, as well as a brother, Jim Everroad of Columbus and two sisters, Joyce Mead and Jane Louden, both of Columbus. He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Bill Everroad. Funeral services for Mr. Everroad will be 11 a.m, Saturday, September 25 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus with Father Chris Wadelton officiating. Calling will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 24. and one hour prior to service on Saturday. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew church or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.   2. What a wonderful man. I knew Pat from the days at Brand’s. Before I even worked there (1973-75) I heard stories galore from my Dad (Red) over the supper table. My Dad was the yard boss and several times he had get togethers of all the crew at our lot at Grandview. Many years later, when Pat ran the refinishing shop on 16th I would stop for supplies or to have something refinished. Pat always seemed to have a smile on his face and a chuckle that would erupt from deep in his belly. My sincere condolences to his family. Rest In Peace Patrick.
