She lived a long, good life so let’s not remember with sadness, but with the joy she brought each of us. She gave us all life, and I have so much respect for her. She was like a beautiful bird that was ahead of her time. I have fond memories of her showing me her paintings, walking by the harbor in Newport, feeding us homemade food, coming to our award ceremonies for school, celebrating my wedding, and more. She always supported us without judgment. She was a blessing to our family and she will truly be missed.” - Granddaughter, Tawnya Rizzotto

  1. Mom, you were always so strong. You never let people or situations get you down. I imagine Peter, Terri, Grandma Opal, Jean, and Barbara being with you. I know you missed them so much. I love you.

  2. Mom,
My father came to me in a dream a few nights ago telling me something to do I wasn’t sure what it was, so I called to check on you and they told me you had been taken to the hospital and you were very sick. I immediately asked my children your grandchildren if they wanted to see you one last time and of course they did. So, we flew from California to Indianapolis and immediately went to see you. Unfortunately, we all had our last moments with you that late night. Before you left us, Shawna my daughter prayed with you and now has more peace with saying goodbye. Tawnya and the girls prayed with you also and were very sad knowing this might be the last moment together. When I looked at you it reminded me of an angel’s face, so beautiful and you struggled to talk listening intently. We told you we would be back in the morning. I woke up at 5 am and had a feeling the Lord would take you home before I could get over to the hospice facility, knowing God might take you home before I could get there. You always were an early bird and I accepted it might not be there in that last moment. I realized in that moment you already had given me all the time you could give me. You always did all that you could while we were together. Thank you for the memories and time spent on Zoom, talking and working out our differences, and showing you the pictures of our family. Those moments I will cherish forever. Your grandsons Josh and Jeremy had to work so we’re not able to come and see you, but you will always be in their thoughts throughout their life. They love you dearly like all of us. Thank all who helped my mother from Indianapolis and Nashville at the end of her life. The beginnings of her early life were in Orange County California with my brothers and sisters, she was a great achiever in all her work and was top sales in real estate at her job Red Realty. She was an inspector at McDonald Douglas, and later became a manager at Savvy Ranch Elder patient care facility My father and mother were a power couple and accomplished great moments together. Later separately you were a strong woman also and showed my children and me how to be an educated person with a strong work ethic. Thank you for the time that I had with you, God bless you forever and live in peace. After leaving on the way home in the airplane, we looked out and saw dark clouds and the airplane had turbulence over a storm. When the storm cleared away, we saw beautiful white clouds and I felt you were at peace with the Lord. A sunset to remember forever knowing you’re there with my father, sister Terri, and brother Bobby, brings me joy. Some day we will be together again…

    💕❤️💕Love you Mom forever,
    Cynthia

  3. A very sweet lady that I had the privilege of knowing for 8 years in Mulege, Mx. We spent time cooking, fishing, laughing, playing cards and enjoying life. RIP Patty on the hill. Her nickname.

  4. Nana,

I plan on visiting you by the beach each year where I have good memories of you. Although I won’t see you anymore, your memories live on, and I will share them with my children and grandchildren someday. I will always have you as an example of how to be strong through life’s struggles. Thank you for everything you have done for our family, which has not gone unnoticed. You always have been free-spirited and now you are truly free. I look forward to the day when we meet again.

    Love,

    Tawnya
