Paul John Skurka, 57, of Brown County, died at 7:43 a.m. April 4, 2017, at St. Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. A memorial service will be at 5p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Manuel officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Kerry Kohl Skurka; children, Michael (Maytee) Garrison of Bonita Springs, Florida, Nicholas (Jeannette) Helbert of Plainfield, Seth (Stacie) Helbert of Bloomington, Chelsea (Adam) Spartz of Columbus, Hannah (Brad) Ellington of Bloomington and Cameron Skurka of Columbus; a brother, Ed (Mary) Skurka of Kernersville, North Carolina; sisters, Patricia Tintle of Indianapolis, Elaine (James) Derby of Indianapolis, Mary (Jeff) Nagy of Lafayette, Ruth (Steve) Blair of Hope, Diane (Roy) Baxter of Winchester and Amy (Gary) Mack of Columbus; and ten grandchildren.
