Columbus, IN 47201 VISITATION: 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th St. Columbus, IN 47203 and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Friends Adult Day Services, 900 Lindsey Street, Columbus, IN 47201. Paul Walker, 87, of Franklin, died at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Franklin Meadows Nursing Home. Paul left high school before graduation to serve in the U.S. Navy and returned many years later to graduate from Columbus East High School in 1975. He had varied work experiences including REMC before retiring from Cummins Engine Company. He was a member of St. John's White Creek Lutheran Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. Paul loved woodworking, painting, drawing, small engine repair and grilling out as well as spending time with his grandchildren. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time at Just Friends Adult Day Services where he made many friends. Born in Marion County July 2, 1926, Paul was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Walker. He married Helen A. Eckelman June 14, 1953. She preceded him in death March 22, 2002. He is survived by daughters, Sue Ann (Larry) Geilker of Columbus, IN, Vickie (Phil) Liggett of Franklin, IN, and Shari (Jerry) Turpen of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren, Laura Geilker, Seth Shafer, and Trey Shafer; and great-grandchildren, Tommy Gorski and Harmony Gorski. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

I am going to miss you my Cottage friend, you were very precious to alot of people here, you are where you wanted to go there’s no doubt about it. Love you Paul R.I.P.
