Paul Richard "Dick" Donnell June 12, 1933 - July 04, 2007 Paul Richard Dick Donnell, 74, of Columbus died at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Donnell graduated from Columbus High School in 1953 where he played on the varsity basketball, baseball and football teams. He then entered the U.S. Army and upon returning to Columbus was employed by the Columbus Police Department from 1955 to 1956. He was then employed by Cummins Engine Company from 1956 until he retired in 1998. He was a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge # 20, Scottish and York Rite and was Past Master of the Jonesville Masonic Lodge #216 and Bartholomew County Shrine Club. Mr. Donnell was born June 12, 1933 in Bartholomew County, the son of Leonard W. Jack and Stella Mae Miller Donnell. He married Carol J. Collins June 22, 1957. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy L. (Pam) Donnell of Columbus; a stepson, Joe Bastian of Columbus and grandchildren, Kevin Wooton, Ian Keith Wooton, Katie Bastian, Joseph Bastian, Jennie Bastian and Annie Bastian. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Paula Mae Donnell; brothers, Gene Donnell and Rev. Lester Havron; sisters, Betty Donnell, Faye Hall, Mary Ann Smith, Linda Tibbs and Juanita Branum. Funeral Information VISITATION: Friday July 6, 2007 at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. FUNERAL: Saturday July 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Buterbaugh officiating.
