Paul S. Jewell July 08, 1915 - December 01, 2005 Paul S. Jewell, 90, of Greensburg, Ky., died there at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jewell lived and farmed in Jackson Township, Decatur County, for 50 years and also was a former resident of Columbus. He moved to his daughters home in Green County, Ky., 1 years ago. He was a member of Alert United Methodist Church and had held leadership positions in the church. A former lay minister at Browns Corner Chapel, he also was an active member of Gideons International and had spoken in churches in five states on behalf of that organization. He was a graduate of Clay City School in Indiana. Born in Bartholomew County July 8, 1915, Mr. Jewell was the son of the Rev. Garnett and Della Patterson Jewell. He married Mary L. Kiefer March 11, 1944. Survivors include a son, John (Terri) Jewell of Port Charlotte, Fla.; daughters, Sue Ann (John) Walters of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Bonnie (Joe) Wilcoxson of Greensburg, Ky.; grandchildren, Erin and Brian Walters, Jason and David Wilcoxson, Rebecca, Dr. John (Dr. Jennifer), Rachel, David and Marybeth Jewell and Bethany Grooms; a stepgrandson, Chad Maxwell; a brother, Frank Jewell of Columbus; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 19, 2004; his parents; brothers, Ira, Arthur Bud, Roscoe and Carl Jewell; and sisters, Mary Luther, Viola Weekly, Ruth King and Betty Gray.
