Paul Y. Duncan December 12, 1914 - February 11, 2006 Paul Y. Duncan, 91, of Hope died at 11:48 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at Millers Merry Manor in Hope. Paul was retired from Arvin Industries. He was formerly employed by Creative Tool & Machine. He and his wife Adah delivered The Republic newspaper to the rural areas for 10 years. He and his wife enjoyed horses, and both would ride with Saddle Club. Paul had a deep love for his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with both. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Duncan was born Dec. 12, 1914 in Clay City, the son of Austin B. and Mary Duncan. He married Adah Dickason on July 11, 1936. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Wanda Gill, Mabel (Hal) Pruitt, Janice Gilpin and Joann Herr, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Gary Gill, Troy and Todd Gilpin, Darrin Herr, Cindy Jo Hotz, Louann Matlock, Carol (Don) Pope and Kathy Crouch; 12 greatgrandchildren; two greatgreatgrandchildren; and sisters, Edith Wozadlo of Louisville, Louise Davis of Illinois and Dorothy Wright of Florida. He was preceded in death by brothers, Austin, Emil, Oaker, Amos, George, Ed and Thomas Duncan; and sisters, Hazel, Dora and Ernestine Duncan and Mae Patton. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2005 at JewellRittman Family Funeral Home on 25th Street, with the Rev. Wesley Jones officiating. VISITATION: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information MEMORIALS: Hospice of South Central Indiana.
