Paula Lindemann January 30, 1921 - May 16, 2011 Paula Lindemann, 90, of Regency Drive, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Paula was a survivor of a World War II Russian concentration camp. She came to America in 1954 and settled in Pennsylvania. In 1969, she moved to Columbus where she was employed at Saps, the Holiday Inn and Cummins Engine Company. She retired in 1982 from Cummins after 10 years of service. Paula was active in civic causes, raised money for the Cheer Fund and was active with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Community Center. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling the world, baking and entertaining friends and family. Born Jan. 30, 1921, in Schweidler, Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Lindemann was the daughter of Michael and Susanna Krieger Groh. She married Reinhard Lindemann in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1974. Survivors include a son, Robert Bobby (Debra) Lindemann of Columbus; a granddaughter, Alicia (Jamie Hatcher) Davis of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Corbin, Michelle and Montanna Wiles; and sisters, Irene (Erwin) Heinrich and Klara (Anton) Leitner, both of Illertissen, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Martin Groh. Funeral Information FUNERAL:1 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Manny Ojeda officiating. CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
