Peggy J. George November 12, 1943 - March 30, 2006 Peggy J. George, 62, of Milwaukee, Wis., died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Peggy enjoyed gardening. Mrs. George was born Nov. 12, 1943 at Waverly, Tenn., the daughter of Burton H. and Annie Mae Miller Travis. She first married Ralph J. Meredith. She then married William K. George. Survivors include sons, Ralph J. Meredith Jr. of Milwaukee and Keith E. (Vanessa) Meredith of Columbus; daughters, Kelly D. (Jamey) Staley and Leisha Darlene Susie Meredith, both of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Melissa (Kelly) Clayburn of Columbus; grandchildren, Gina Dunaway, Dawn, Corrtney, Kaleb and Hailynn Broughton, Heather and J.D. McCarty, Zach, Kyle and Cody Staley, Brittnee (Kyle), Andre and Paige Ferree, Keith and Demi Meredith, Keegan Crase and Zane and Gage Clayburn; sisters, Bertha (Elmoe) Harper of Akron, Ohio, Mary K. Ryion of Camden, Tenn. and JoAnn (Bill) Jeffries of Columbus; and brothers, Larry R. Travis of St. Augustine, Fla. and Johnnie R. (Dottie) Travis of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents; her second husband on Dec. 30, 2003; a son, Jonathan Meredith; a brother, James Travis; and a sister, Elsie Morgan.
