I did not know Phil had passed. He was a good friend, starting me into the collecting field when he was a student teacher at Columbus High School, and I was an art student. Although I had not talked to him for many years, I cherish the memories of his tutelage in the finer points of WWII military antiques when I was a young beginning collector. He probably did more good to keep me focused on a straight path than he ever knew. I shall miss him.
