Randall Paul Sadowski, 71, of Nashville, died at 8:03 p.m. May 17, 2014, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Randall was born May 5, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Charles and Lily Fabisiak Sadowski. Before retiring, Randall served as product manager for scheduling and data-tracking applications for Rockwell Automation. Prior to that, he was director of university relations, chief applications officer, and vice president of consulting services and user education at Systems Modeling Corporation, which he joined after holding faculty positions at Purdue University's School of Industrial Engineering and the University of Massachusetts. Randall was a member of Russ College Academy of Distinguished Graduates, Class of 2011. He was also a member of Brown County Woodworkers and a volunteer for Brown County Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed woodworking, remodeling, being outside and watching his grandchildren participate in sports. Survivors include his children, Shelley (Sean) McAlister, Jennifer (Michael Alfieri) Sadowski, Samuel Sadowski, Charity (Zach) Skowvron and Noah Sadowski; siblings, John (Shirley) Sadowski, Jean (Doug) Sadowski-Pufpaff, Mary Sadowski and Kathleen (Neil) Munger; grandchildren, Tierney, Emma and Aidan McAlister and Mya Alfieri; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sue Kapeluck Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

  7. I did not have a chance to meet with Mr. Sadowski, but I served with him on the Ohio University industrial engineering department board of advisors this past year, and he was engaged and really cared about the department. I’m sorry for this loss.

  12. Randy, it was a pleasure getting to know you and although it was only for a few years in the wood club you have left me with a lasting impression of a man who dealt with a serious illness in a positive way. We will miss you.
