Randy William Scudder, 57, of Columbus, passed away May 29, 2022, at his home. Randy was born April 4, 1965, in Columbus, the son of Charles William and Donna Rayburn Scudder. He married Anna DiGiovanni on April 29, 1989. Randy was employed at Sabic Innovative Plastics for 33 years, fulfilling many roles from forklift operator to his current role as Operations Leader. He was a proud U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran, and was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. Randy gave of himself fully to his family and others with love and integrity. He led by example and humbly sacrificed his entire life in the service of others. Randy is survived by his loving wife; his children Daniel Gary (Kylee) Harman of Columbus, Tonilynn Angela (Herlen) Chacon of Columbus, Stephanie Harman of Nashville, Indiana, Samantha Jo (Ezekiel) Tyger of Nashville, and John (Carla) DiGiovanni of Boca Raton, Florida; grandchildren Kameron Jayne, Makenzie Anne, Hudson Daniel, Colbie Kai, Clover Kate, Hayes Dylan, and Gonzo Aesop Harman, Giana Sophia and Onan Eliezer Chacon, Finley Abbott Anthis, Flora Joy Tyger, as well as Nico and Gino DiGiovanni; sisters Vicky Marshall of Shelbyville, Debbie (Dennis) Flack of Greensburg, and Teresa (Robert) Evans of Elizabethtown; nieces and nephews Jeff, David, and Kimberley Marshall, Michelle Nugent, Christina Gregory, CeeJay Sevilla, Taylor Powers, Sean, and Corey Burton, as well as Nicole Abruzese. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dean Manuel officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Sunday. Burial will be at New Harmony Cemetery in Bartholomew County

  2. So very sad to hear of Randy’s passing. He was a fine Christian man. I know he has joined Gil up there praising around the throne. My prayers for his family at this time.
