Ray Gene Carrier March 14, 1936 - February 20, 2006 Ray Gene Carrier, 69, of Cottage Avenue, died at 12:50 p.m. February 20, 2006 , at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Carrier had been a Sergeant Major in the United States Army and retired from the civil service department of the National Guard. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church. Ray loved music, watching movies and going to church. Mr. Carrier was born March 14, 1936, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, the son of Oscar Carrier. He married Frances Lewis on September 3, 1987. Survivors include his wife, Frances Carrier of Columbus; sons, Arlis, Mike and Gene Carrier all of Indianapolis; daughter Penny of Indianapolis;sister, Millie Cooper of Southport; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. Funeral Information VISITATION: Wednesday February 22, 2006 from 4 until 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. FUNERAL: Thursday February 23, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
