Ray Randolph, 86, of Greensburg, Indiana went to be with Jesus on September 3rd. Ray was born in Delaware, Ohio on September 27, 1934. He retired as captain of the Ypsilanti Township Fire Department in Ypsilanti, Michigan, after 30 years of service. He was an outgoing positive light to all who crossed his path. He loved the Lord and desired for all to be saved. He is survived by his wife, Sue, of 43 years. Survivors include his daughters, Myreeha Randolph, (David) Vicki Hensley, (Dwaine) Stepdaughter Lori Tincher (Randy), stepdaughter, Lisa Wells, (Dennie) Other survivors are a brother, Richard Randolph, sister Millie Phelps, (Dale), and a sister Maxine Graham, (Mike). Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and B. Clair (Vipperman) Randolph; his brothers Bob, Jim, and Rosswell. Surviving grandchildren are Trista Denham, (Chad), Stephanie Feldmann, (Brandon), Justin Tincher, (Sam), Ryan Tincher, Brendan Tincher (Kristen), Savannah Kiefer, and Marissa Hensley. Great grandchildren Adalynn Grace and Lainey Jade. Ray served in the Army for two years. He drove a jeep for his commander in Austria, Germany. He loved gospel blue grass music. He enjoyed playing blue grass music most of his life. He attended Community Church of Batesville. A celebration of life service will be held at the Community Church of Batesville on Sunday, September 12th at 2:30 p.m., 103 E. George St., Batesville, IN 47006. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana, or Community Church of Batesville. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

  1. I worked with Ray at the bank as a courier. He was a good man to be around. I often thought of him and wondered where he moved to. My condolences to the family..

  2. Ray was a major part of my life as a youngster. We loved going to the fire Dept and play music with Ray. He taught us lots. I have many memories of the fun times we had. Ray was a fine man and a good friend. Our prayers go out out to Sue and all the Randolph family. Until the day!
