Raymond M. Scott Jr. May 26, 1973 - January 22, 2011 Raymond M. Scott Jr., 37, of Franklin Street, died at 9:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in a traffic accident on Interstate 70 near New Castle. Mr. Scott graduated from Columbus East High School and was an Air Force veteran. He was previously employed at Car Quest. Born in Franklin May 26, 1973, Mr. Scott was the son of Raymond M. Scott Sr. and Linda S. Pedigo Scott. He is survived by his mother, of Columbus; his fiance, Nikki Lane of Columbus; a brother, Brandon Scott of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Yvonne (Cliff) Schellenger of Los Angeles, CA, and Sherry (Rob) Harden of Beaverton, OR; nieces, Amanda (Dave) Boeding and Jacquelyn (Daniel) Rodriguez; nephews, Rex and Ross Schellenger; and a great-niece, Adelaide Boeding. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Information Funeral: Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Stan Icenogle officiating. Visitation: Wednesday, January 26 from 4:00 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Burial: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
