SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday June 30, 2014 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Waymansville FINAL RESTING PLACE: St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery Waymansville Military honors will be conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home ADDITIONAL VISITATION: 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Parochial School Fund, Love Chapel or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Raymond Neal Minor, 91, of 450 E, died at 10:50 a.m. June 25, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Raymond was born January 14, 1923 in Hope, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Hazel Gohn Minor. He first married Ruth Henderson in 1948 and then married Barbara June Trimpe December 22, 1974. Raymond was a WWII Navy veteran having served in the Marshall Islands. He retired in 1983 from Cummins Engine Company after 41 years. He played, coached and officiated youth and adult baseball, basketball and softball. Raymond was a volunteer at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church - Waymansville, Love Chapel, Eastside Community Center, the Senior Citizens Center, Orphan Grain Train and Biddy Basketball at the Boy's Club. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kathryn Ruth Bower of Columbus; brothers, Donald Minor of Venice, FL, Norman (Norma) Minor of Columbus; half-brothers, Kenneth (Sara) Minor and Dale (Darlene) Minor all of Madison; half-sisters, Patricia Ogden and Marlene Green, both of Madison and Sandra (Bernard) Jahrries of North Vernon; granddaughter, Nicole Marie Woodard of Columbus and great-grandsons, Jacob and Logan Woodard. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Minor; mother, Hazel Romine and step-father, Frank Romine; brothers, Leslie Noble Minor, Lowell Eugene Minor and Paul Robert Minor; and sisters, Helen Rose Skaggs Williams, Vivian Morris and two infant sisters Barbara and Patricia Minor.
