SERVICES: A private service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Garland Brook Mausoleum with Rev. Ann Marshall officiating. MEMORIALS: Expressions of sympathy in Richard's honor may be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church or the American Lung Association. Richard D. McQuinn of Columbus died on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Born on May 23, 1928, Richard was the son of David and Stella (House) McQuinn. He married Norma Jean Sanders on November 11, 1948 in Franklin. Survivors include wife Jean; sons Steven (Joyce) of Atlanta and Stan (Vicki Ross) McQuinn of Chicago and half-brother Mike McQuinn of Greenwood. Grandchildren: Amy (Cory) McQuinn Hussung, David (Jane) McQuinn, Seth McQuinn, Cara McQuinn, Megan (Gabriel) McQuinn Holbura, Heather (Thomas) McQuinn Pozywala. Great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Alaina, and Chloe Hussung, Luke and Maggie (Walker) McQuinn, Andre and Marc Holbura, and Makayla and Aubrey Pozywala. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Richard attended Franklin High School, Franklin College, and Indiana Business College. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard. He retired from The Republic after 35 years of service. Richard was an avid sports fan. He was a member of the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. He was also a 50-year member and exalted ruler the BPOE #521.
