Richard L. Wright August 23, 1938 - June 04, 2008 Richard L. Dick Wright, 69, of 100 N, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday June 4, 2008, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Richard was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was a painting contractor and owned Wright-On Painting and at one time had three Saps delivery routes. He was a member of the American Legion Lodge Post 24, Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge and VFW Lodge. He was an avid Texas Hold Em player and enjoyed music and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard was born Aug, 23, 1938 in Bloomington, the son of Betty A. Wright. He married Debra D. Ward Dec. 1, 2000. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kerry Evan Wright of Seymour; a daughter, Savanah Wright of Columbus; stepsons, Jerry (Monica) Ward of Edinburgh, Randy (Julia) Crouch and Bob (Tammy) Crouch, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, William Peewee DeFord of Bedford; a sister, Diana P. Meadows of Bedford; grandchildren, Katy Crouch, Joseph Crouch, Bob Crouch, Mackenzie Johnson, Savana Ward, Brian Harris and Zeb Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Jeff Ward; brothers, Danny and Joe DeFord and his stepfather, Max DeFord. Funeral Information VISITATION: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
