Richard Lee McGuire, 73, of Columbus passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home. He was born April 13, 1947 Loogootee, Indiana to Edgar and Elsie Reece Ward McGuire.
He served his country in the Airforce and was a retired service technician with Century Link Telephone after 37 years of service. He enjoyed golfing and wood working.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquie (Spears) McGuire of Taylorsville, his son, Anthony (Paige) McGuire and his grandson, Ellis McGuire of Indianapolis, brother, Robert McGuire of Columbus, sister, Jane Carrico of Loogootee, Indiana.
He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Kenneth McGuire
Due to the Covid-19 virus there will be no services at this time.

Ric was one of my best friends. He was always great to be around. Always knew the right time to crack a joke and knew how to enjoy life. He loved his Nickname more than anyone that I have known. He will truly be missed by many.
Ric will be missed by a lot of people and Mountain Dew’s stock is going to take a hit.He had a unique nickname that was given to him in jest and which he adopted with a vengeance.
Now he can drink all the Mountain Dew his heart desires and not worry about the tab and do all the woodworking for the “Master Carpenter”. See ya Ric.
