Robert D. Young

Robert D. Young, 93, of Columbus, died at 8:35 p.m., June 29, 2021, at Columbus Transitional Health and Rehabilitation. Robert was born August 20, 1927 in Temple Hill, Kentucky, the son John D. Young and Jessie Chapman Young. He married Patsy Abel. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Transitional Health Rehabilitation or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Survivors include a son, John Young of Columbus; daughters, Angela Young of Canton, NC., Alice Rainbolt, of Louisiana, Anita Jessie and Janice Chaplin both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
