Robert E. “Bob” Wininger, 71, of Columbus, died on December 18, 2022, at his home. He was born September 3, 1951, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of the late Robert L. Wininger and Elizabeth A. Hall Wininger. He was the spouse of Debra K. (Debbie) Wheatley Wininger. Robert graduated high school in 1969 and went to work for Cummins Engine Company until his retirement 30 years later in 1999. He was also the co-owner, alongside his wife, of Petals and Vines Gift Shop located in Columbus. He was a member of the Garden City Church of Christ, where he enjoyed worshipping God. Robert’s greatest commitment was to his family. Outside of church, and work he was a faithful husband and father for over 49 years. He loved going hunting, and fishing with his sons, spending time in the great outdoors, and also playing with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife, Debbie Wininger, of Columbus; sons, Shawn M. (Trisha Gonzales) Wininger, of Commiskey, Indiana, Kevin T. Wininger, of Seymour, Indiana, and Chad D. (Jennifer) Wininger, of Evansville, Indiana; brother, Rick Wininger; grandchildren, BaileyJo Rogers-Wininger, Kayson Robert Wininger, and Gavin Dale Wininger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Wininger; and his brother, Mike Wininger. The funeral service will be at 6:00 P.M. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22, 2022, with Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating the service. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation is planned. Visitation is from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM the same day. Those wishing to may make memorial donations through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana, Garden City Church of Christ, or the American Cancer Society. My parents lived down the street from them when I was growing up and o knew ther kids and we would talk to to them when we saw them out side and I know he will ne missed he always asked if ther was something he could do when my dad got sick and when he passed he kept an eye on my mom he came do to see of everything was OK with my mom when we had to put her in the nursing home I will seeing him out side in the summer and saying hi to him the Ouwerkerks
