Robert Edward Bragg, 83, of Columbus, November 21, 2020, at Franklin Meadows.
Robert was born August 30, 1937 in Jeffersonville Indiana, the son of Ben Chester Bragg and Clara Mae (Ford) Bragg. He married Hazel M. (Gaffney) Bragg on March 03, 1956.
Bob enjoyed working on cars, playing golf and westerns with John Wayne. Upon walking out the front door, after visiting Bob, he would often be heard saying “Never say never” or “Ya’ll be safe” and “Don’t take no wooden nickels”.
With the new instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings of 50 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate. We encourage you to share your support with the family, being cognizant that others wish to do the same. The funeral will be private at Jewell ~ Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. Calling will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, November 29, 2020. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana following the funeral.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Saint Jude Children’s Hospital through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, sons, Farris (Ava) Bragg of Columbus, George (Charlene) Bragg of Columbus, Robert Wayne Bragg of South Bend; daughters, April Bragg of Columbus, Sharon Smith of Columbus, Sister, Edna Maines Paris Crossing, 10 grandchildren and 16 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Norman Wayne Bragg.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
