Robert Glen Wampler

Robert Glen Wampler Jr., 94, of Columbus, IN, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. He was born in Clifford, IN, on June 24, 1930, to Robert Wampler Sr. and Nena Harms Wampler. He married Donna J. Wampler on February 11, 1951. Robert was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from Cummins Engine Company after 33 years of Service. He was a member of The Rock Free Methodist Church. A private graveside service was held at Garland Brook Cemetery and Pastor Brian Buterbaugh officiated. Full military honors was provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Robert is survived by his; sons Robert E. (Beth) Wampler of Noblesville and David Brian (Catherine Pace) Wampler of Edinburgh; a daughter Connie (Terry) Meyer of Columbus; grandchildren Matthew (Lorna) Meyer, Lyndsey (Ryan) Linneweber, Stephanie (Travis) Quillen and Morgan (Corbin) Wampler; great-grandchildren Kai and Cooper Linneweber, Thea, Larkin, Elnora and Herbert Meyer, Landry and Brantley Quillen; and a sister Elizabeth Johnson of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Wampler, on December 28, 2018, and his daughter, Barbara Wampler. Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
