Robert Lee “Bobby” Ott, 60, of Columbus, passed away at 10:44 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at his home. Bobby was born to Oram Ott and Donna Coles Ott on January 1, 1958. He married Debbie Moore on December 20, 2017. Bobby enjoyed caving and loved riding his Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles. There will be no funeral service; calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Lee Ott Memorial Fund through the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Ott; father, Oram Ott; sons, Robert Lee Ott II, Brandon (Cora) Ott, Tyler (Christy) Ott, Phillip Paul (Missy) Stanley, Joshua Stanley and Zachary Allen (Kylie) Stanley; sister, Teresa (Corney) Ritchie; and grandchildren, Brooklynn, Bralynn, Brennan and Abel. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Coles Ott.

I know that none of Bobby’s family knows me. I haven’t seen Bobby since Jr. High or High School. I was so in love with him then. He would make up silly reasons to come to my house, (as I was 2 years younger than him) and work on his car. I thought he was awesome and he bought me a little promise ring which I still have. I am so sorry to see that Bobby has passed at age 60. I’m sorry for your loss.
