Robert P. "Bob" Middleton, 58, of French Lick, a native of Columbus, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mr. Middleton is survived by his mother, Martha Hastings Middleton of Franklin; his wife of 26 years, Debra Middleton; a son, Garrett (Laurie) Middleton of Bloomington; daughters, Stacy (Greg) Rees of Bloomington and Kimberly Gates of Fayetteville, W.V.; six grandchildren; and brothers, Alan (Kim) Middleton of Columbus and Curtis Middleton of Victorville, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Andrew Middleton. A private service for the family is planned at a later date.
