Robert W. Meyer July 19, 1945 - June 05, 2009 Robert W. Meyer, 63, of Countess Drive, Columbus, Ind., died Friday, June 5, 2009, at 10:53 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital. Robert attended Purdue University for two years and he was a retired Metallurgical Technician from Cummins Engine Company, retiring in 2002 after 34 years of service. He enjoyed all sports including NASCAR. Robert was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and served with the National Guard from 1965 to 1971. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Meyer was born July 19, 1945, in Bartholomew County, the son of Kenneth C. and Wilma F. Terrell Meyer. He married Jane A. Burbrink on Oct. 28, 1967. Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael R. (Carrie) Meyer of Mooresville, Ind. and Matthew T. (Melissa) Meyer of Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Michelle Meyer of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Keith T. (Lenore) Meyer of Selma, Ala. and Carl M. (Linda) Meyer of Commiskey, Ind.; grandchildren, Ryan Burbrink of Columbus, Ind., Grant, Avery and Lily Meyer of Mooresville, Ind., and Jakob and Faith Meyer of Columbus, Ind. Mr. Meyer was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Lee Meyer. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Malinsky officiating.
