January 22, 1976 ~ April 7, 2022

Roberta G. “Robin” Wetherald, 46, of Seymour, IN, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Robin was born in Columbus on January 22, 1976, a daughter of the late Glen W. Bunch and surviving mother, Debra J. Debord (Tony) of Seymour. Surviving are her children: Breann G. (Clayton) Lykins-Cordier of Rexburg, ID; Braden M. Lykins of Columbus, Dixie Marie Wetherald of Columbus, and Zach Weatherald (Taylor) also of Columbus. Surviving sisters are Crystal Rush of Columbus, GA and Becky Shroyer of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Skeeter” Wetherald and her sister, Pam Smith. Robin was born and raised in Columbus, IN. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1994. Robin also graduated from Cosmetology school with honors and went on to open a successful salon, “The Hair Shoppe,” also located in Columbus. She continued to further her education and used her passion for the beauty industry to become a Paul Mitchell Regional Educator and Color Specialist. She loved helping others while sharing her knowledge with other cosmetologists. She had a love for life and all that it brought. She loved being a mother above every title and hat that she wore as she knew her “Why” was her children at the end of the day. She enjoyed many things in addition to her family, including horseback riding, reading, camping, yoga, and dancing. When Robin was on the dance floor, one could see her freedom and personality shine through because she loved music and how it moved through her. She also was known to brighten up her horse “Cash” with the occasional experiment of color on his mane. Cash looked dashing with bright pink streaks as she would race him around the barrels or the poles. She was an experienced horseback rider and loved a horse that matched her competitiveness. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh would show you so much about her love of life. One of her favorite quotes was “I’m not broken, just bent,” exhibiting just how much strength and determination Robin had as she never gave up and always kept trying. Please join us in celebrating the life of Roberta “Robin” at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home at 3855 25th Street, Columbus, IN with visitation one hour prior. 1. RThat gal could run a set of barrels now. Her daddy have to blind fold some of them to get thin the gate but Robbie would ride the hide off them. Going to State Fair with those girls. They grow up to fast and there gone in a blink of an eye. We don’t know what God’s plan is for her up there but he needed her something. Probably to straighten her daddy out! She was a beautiful girl inside and out. Was so proud of her when she opened the Hsir Shop and hit to travel for hair show and stuff. Will love her forever.
