Roberta Ruth Boyd August 09, 1928 - June 06, 2009 Roberta Ruth Boyd, 80, of Columbus died at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Boyd was a very active member of 25th Street Church of Christ. She also was a hospital volunteer, enjoyed needle work and cooking and was active in a homemakers club. Born in Lawrence County Aug. 9, 1928, Mrs. Boyd was the daughter of James H. Todd and Osa Bertran Bartlett. She married Joseph V. Boyd Feb. 5, 1950. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2009. Survivors include sons, William (Sheryl) Boyd of Whiteland, Robert (Sharon) Boyd of Noblesville and Christopher (Dawn) Boyd of Columbus; grandchildren, Matthew Boyd, Nicholas Boyd, Patrick Boyd, Rachel Boyd, Nathan (Erika) Boyd, Anna Boyd, Katie (Kevin) Wilhelm and Drew Boyd; and sisters, Ola Jones, Margaret Sparks and Shirley Bouher, all of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and brothers, Opal and Mack Todd. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
