Robin Louise Phillips, 62, of Columbus, died at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Hickory Creek of Franklin. Robin was born January 17, 1964 in Columbus, the daughter of Ray Phillips Jr. and Deletta (Smith) Briles. She married Ronnie Jeanne Eppley on October 31, 2014.

Robin was a vibrant and creative spirit whose presence brought light to everyone around her. A proud Pep Stepper at North High School, she carried that same energy and rhythm throughout her life, especially in her love of dance. She went on to graduate from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, blending her intelligence with a deep compassion for others. Robin had a gift for creating beauty in everything she touched whether painting, knitting, or composing her own songs. Self-taught in both piano and guitar, her music reflected her joyful and imaginative soul. She also dedicated time as a coach for the Special Olympics, where her kindness and patience left a lasting impact. Robin was known for having the gentlest heart truly, there was not a mean bone in her body and she will be remembered for the warmth, creativity, and love she gave so freely.

A Life Celebration for Robin will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory with Rev. Heather Dettmer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. In honoring Robin’s wishes cremation was chosen.

Robin is survived by her wife, Rhonda “Ronnie” Eppley; son, Taylor Dobbins of Columbus; brothers, Ray (Angi) Phillips III of North Vernon and Danny Phillips of New Albany; sister, Lesley Philips of North Vernon; step-dad, Duane Briles and step-mom, Linda Phillips; grandmother, Ruth Briles; assorted nieces and nephews; 2 beloved dogs, Mongo and Voodoo; and 4 cats, Domino, Tigger, Georgie, and Pebbles.

Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Deletta Briles and father, Ray Phillips Jr.

Services were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory.
