Robin Sophia Russell, 45, of McClure Road, died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at Hickory Creek Retirement Community. Robin loved to attend garage sales and watch TV shows. Her home was always open to anyone. She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ. Most of all, Robin loved her family, especially her grandbabies. Born in Columbus Aug. 30, 1966, Robin was the daughter of Herbert "Whitie" Estes and Annie Mae England Estes. She married Steven C. Russell Dec. 30, 1998. Survivors include her husband; her father, of Columbus; a son, Aaron W. (Bethany) Green of Columbus, IN; daughters, Hillary A. (Patrick) Creech and Xena M. Russell, both of Columbus, IN; brothers, Michael Estes of Columbus, IN, and Ronnie (Melody) Estes of North Vernon, IN; sisters, Freddia (Robert) Jandris of Columbus, IN, Tereasa (Eric) Waggoner of Elizabethtown, IN, and Fay (Otto) Graham of Ironton, Ohio; and grandchildren, Ian Worton, Nevaeh Eaton, Peyton Green, Trinity Green, Clara Creech and Dillon Creech. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae England Estes. SERVICES: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 18, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home VISITATION: 9:00 a.m. til 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to the Robin Sophia Russell Memorial Fund.

  1. Robin, I hadn’t seen her in many years. I will remember all the fun times we had riding the buses at school and the good times in the hallways at southside and CNHS.

  2. My deepest condolences to the family of Robin. I worked with Robin about 10 years ago. I remember her love for her family, her great work ethic, and how happy she was. Hearing the news of her passing is incredibly sad. I hope you find comfort in knowing that 10 or more years later I remember the love she had for her family.
