FUNERAL: Saturday November 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home 3855 25th Street Columbus, IN with Pastor John Armstrong officiating. VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the funeral home.BURIAL: East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, IN at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Grace Lutheran Church or the Everton Community Church through the funeral home. Ronald E. “Ron” Bowen, age 55, of Columbus, IN, passed away at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born July 3, 1963 in Denver, CO to the late Carl J. and Darlyne D. (Kimble) Bowen. Ron was previously employed at Grammer Industries for over 30 years. He also owned and managed real estate, consulted for Reis Trucking and drove for Real World Testing. Ron was a beloved son, brother, husband and friend. He married the love of his life, Donna Yazel, August 28, 1993. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home 3855 25th Street Columbus, IN with Pastor John Armstrong officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in East Hill Cemetery Rushville, IN at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Ron may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Grace Lutheran Church or the Everton Community Church through the funeral home. Ron is survived by his wife, Donna (Yazel) Bowen; brother, Robert J. (Kelly) Bowen of Fairfield, OH; sister, Carla D. (Nate Rice) Bowen of Honolulu, HI; sisters-in-law, Sue (Cole) York, Charlene (Ray) Irrgang and Dorthy Stevens, all of Connersville. Ron is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
