Roy Fish

Roy Fish, 68, of Columbus, passed away at 8:17 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville, IN. Roy was born on February 3, 1954 in Batesville, IN to Opie Ray Fish and Zeta Mullins Fish. Roy retired from Cummins Engine Company after 45 years of service. He was a loving partner, father and grandfather. He was known for his quick-witted humor, determination, generous spirit and a loving nature. He was strong family man and loved spending time with his family. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Wright officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be held at New Bellsville Cemetery. Survivors include his fiancé, Penney Merrick Carey of Columbus, IN; sons, Gary Fish of TN, Chris Fish of Columbus, IN and Kevin Fish of Columbus, IN; step-children, Amanda Lawver and Brian Carey both of Columbus, IN; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Hill of Columbus, IN, Vivian Luenebrink of Columbus, IN, Charlotte (Anees) Yousef of Trafalgar, IN, Debra (Verne) Miller of Columbus, IN, Maxine (Dave) Cardinal of Nashville, IN and Susan Fish of Edinburgh, IN; brothers, Rex Fish, Guy (Dianna) Fish and Max Fish all of Nashville, IN. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Opie and Zeta Fish; brother, Ira Fish and a sister, Audrey Harmon.
