Roy G. Foster, of Columbus, left this world on December 2, 2024, to be reunited with his beloved wife, Juanita Reed Foster. Roy was born July 12, 1934, in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Ervin and Lena Neel Foster. He is survived by his twin children, Ronald (Elise) Foster of Bargersville, Indiana and Rhonda Sue Foster of Louisville, Kentucky, and his youngest son, Randy Foster of Columbus. Three grandchildren, Staci (Tim) Bowman-Jecmen of Louisville, Kentucky, Jennifer (Tim) Nash of Virginia Beach and Jared (Shirley) Foster of Greenwood, Indiana; six great-grandchildren, Kloey, Karrissa, Brooklyn, Eva, Ian, Theo, and a brother, Bobby Foster of Wheatley, Arkansas. Upon completing his military in the U.S. Army, Roy moved from Kentucky to Columbus, where he worked as manager of the Columbus Water Company, Vice-President of White River Truck Stop and the owner of Roy’s Truck Repair. After retirement, he moved to Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida where he started a part-time repair service. Sitting still was never the character trait that Roy possessed. When not working, he could be found on the golf course or with a fishing pole in his hand on Lake Harris with his buddy Marty. Roy was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; four sisters, Ervine White, Beatrice “Tootsie” Coursey, Erma Nell Teague, Patsy Haden and three brothers, Noel Foster, Melvin Odel Foster and Billy Foster. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday December 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and the Jewell-Rittman Cremation Center.
