Ruby Katherine Penrose, 92, of Fairington Ct., passed away at 2:30 p.m., March 29, 2019 at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. Ruby was born January 5, 1927 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to Andrew and Grace Arnold DeSpain. Ruby was a member of Petersville United Methodist Church, and held the title of “Greatest Cook in the World” from her family. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 3, 2019 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Stormy Sherer-Berry officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
