Ruth A. Morledge

Ruth Dilts Morledge, 89, of Lakeland, Florida, was born January 21, 1927, to Mary E. Haislup Dilts Weales and William Frederick Dilts in Columbus, Indiana. She was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church. Many years ago she was a Brownie Leader and a Cub Scout Mother. She was a 1945 graduate of Columbus High School in Indiana. Ruth worked from 1945 to 1950 in the office of Reeves Pulley Co. on Seventh Street in Columbus. In March 1950, she married Richard F. Anderson. He died in September 1981. In August 2003, she married Paul W. Morledge, formerly of Columbus and now a resident of Lakeland, Florida. They were married 56 years after their first date in 1947. Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard F. Anderson in 1981; son, Bill in 1975; an infant grandson; her parents; her brother, John A. Dilts; and sister, Dorothy Dilts Coleman. She is survived by her husband, Paul; children, David L. (Kim) Anderson, the Rev. John M. (Debra) Anderson; Joyce E. (Dennis Smail) Anderson; step‐son, Daryl Morledge; six grandchildren; and seven great‐grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mulberry United Methodist Church Building Fund, 306 N. Church Ave., Mulberry, Florida 33860.
