Ruth was born May 3, 1955 to parents Clifford Ira and Betty Bryant Carnes of Indianapolis. Her father survives in Campbellsville, Kentucky and her mother preceded her in death.
Ruth enjoyed singing, crocheting and going to church. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandsons and family. She was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by daughters, Amanda Lynn (Christopher Allen Edwards) Burton of Columbus and Stacy Renae Wyatt of Columbus; grandchildren, Zachary Isiah Spiehler, Malcolm Delaney Spiehler and Davin Blake Greenlee.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at the Messiah Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Branum and Rev. Dennis Carnes officiating.
VISITATION: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
