Ryan Carl Hildinger November 16, 1987 - July 14, 2010 Ryan Carl Hildinger, 22, died July 14, 2010, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC). He was born November 16, 1987, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Carl and Mary Hildinger, and was a 2006 Academic Honors graduate of Columbus North High School. While in school, Ryan was on the cross country team that won two state championships, wrestled for four years and participated in track for three years. He also participated in several social activities including annual canned food drives, and Turning Point dance-a-thons. He loved sitting and talking to friends, especially his best friend and brother, Alex, was an avid history buff and liked playing video games. After high school, Ryan attended the University of Indianapolis for two years and decided to join the Navy thereafter. He was currently attending school at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, South Carolina.
