Sarah was born in Columbus, the daughter of Shawn Godsey and April King. Sarah was a 7th grader at Central Middle School. She was a beautiful soul, full of life, and had a heart of gold, making sure she was kind to everyone she met, especially to the animals that she loved. Always thinking of the well being of others first, Sarah wanted to be a nurse.  Survivors include her father, Shawn (Stacy) Godsey of Columbus; her mother, April King of Columbus; brothers, Cody King and Caleb Stillabower, both of Columbus; a sister, Audrey Hoover of Columbus; grandparents, Lindley King and Tammy Miller, both of Franklin, Anita (Thomas Gentry) Godsey of Columbus, and Martha Michael of Uniontown; and a great-grandmother, Wanda Cross; aunts and uncles, Kayla Miller, Rachel King, and Chris and Jessica Godsey; as well as several cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Stillabower; grandfather, Mark Godsey; great-grandparents, Joseph and Charlotte Godsey, Robert Cross, Vergie Michael, John and Helen King, and Wanda Miller; and an uncle, Shawn Miller.

Although I did not know Sarah her obituary came across my news feed ..I wanted to stop and tell her parents and family I am truly sorry for their loss..she was a beautiful little girl ..god has gained an angel with a bright smile…my he rest is hand upon you and give you some kind of comfort during this very difficult time…prayers lifted for the parents and family of this precious child ….

  2. Sarah was my cousin, but she was more like a sister. When I found out that she had died, I dropped to the floor and couldn’t breath. She always knew how to make someone smile, even if she was sad. I love, and miss her. I hope she is better now

  3. Sarah was one of the first Friends my Granddaughter made at school. She always had a smile on her face . Wonderful young lady will be missed.

  6. Hi. Sarah, you probably don’t remember me but I remember when we use to hang out in the E-town trailer park because we use to be next-door neighbors. We use to be best friends. But then I moved and we hadn’t spoken since. Until I found out what happened. I’m so sorry that you had to go so soon. You are missed by many and many more to come. You had a caring heart and you were funny and lots of fun to be around. Prayers go out to the Family. April, Audrey, Cody, Caleb, etc. Forever and always in our hearts. Rip. And may many of your guy’s dreams come true. Love you. And miss you.
