Savanna L. Daulton

Savanna L. Daulton, 90, of Columbus, passed away December 19, 2021 at her home.
Savanna was born October 1, 1931 in Norwood, Ohio, the daughter of William J. and Rosa Mae Massner Phelps. On December 19, 1953, she married her husband Lillard T. Daulton.
Savanna is survived by her children Dwayne (Diane) Daulton of Columbus and Juanita “Jan” Carl of Seymour; grandchildren Shannon (Todd) Garrison, Julie (Dan) Schnur, and Mandy (Shane) Kleffman; great-grandchildren Becca Sturgill, Mallory, Bailey, and Presley Meyer, Brandon, Maddie, Ryan, and Kyle Schnur, as well as Cami, Dagan, and Drake Kleffman; great-great-grandchildren Easton and Archer Sturgill; a brother Henry (Regina) Phelps of Columbus; as well as a sister Ethel (Lee) Tucker of Somerset, Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lillard on November 27, 2007; brothers William Carlos Phelps and Charles R. Phelps.
Savanna was born in Norwood, Ohio, but spent most of her formative years living in Somerset, Kentucky. She retired from Columbus Sportswear (formerly Roviar) in 1995 after 29 years of service. After retirement, Savanna enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and loved being surrounded by her family. She was a very punctual person and was meticulous in everything she did. There was a place for everything and everything has a place.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday December 27, 2021 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2021 and one hour prior to the service Monday. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Garland Brook Cemetery.
