Scott was an awesome Paramedic! He worked at Wishard several years before coming to CRH. When he started at CRH, he was my partner. In 2004 he taught my paramedic class and he was the greatest paramedic instructor in the world. He was so smart and funny, a wonderful friend, and listener. He had the biggest heart, a contagious smile that when you saw it you had to smile right back at him. I hope he knew I loved him very much and now, I miss him terribly!
Scott was my last partner before I became a medic and he made me a better medic. We spent a lot of time sitting in the truck together in Brightwood (MD21). We listened to Rush Limbaugh, talked about medic school and why we would never do it again, and enjoyed trying to fill up the log sheet. No call was too far away for us. Lot’s of great memories including crossbows, paintball guns, and Jolt cola on the long weekends. Godspeed my friend (just watch out for the tracks going south on Rural!). One day we will meet again.

In loving memory of Scott, You will be sorely missed and not forgotten. Your intelligent wit, passion for caregiving, and commitment to others learning/professional journey is the legacy you are leaving.
I am Scott’s ex-wife, Karen. We were married for 13 years, ending in 2005. Very sad to hear of his passing from Covid-19. What I remember most about Scott is his intelligence. He was a great paramedic. He could intubate anyone. Back when he worked at Wishard in Indy, keeping his white uniform top clean was a laundry nightmare. He’d have good reasons, like lying on his stomach on Monument Circle intubating a motorcycle accident victim, or crawling down an embankment off the interstate to care of a patient, or the scary places he’d catch a run w his partner, Tom. His love of emergency medicine, and his ability to teach that was obvious. There are many patients who are alive today because of his paramedic skills. I know he will be greatly missed at CRH EMS. My deepest sympathies & condolences to all of you there. RIP, Scott.
Scott was a wonderful co-worker during my tenure at CRH. He was even-tempered and well liked by everyone. He was dedicated to his profession and dedicated to helping his friends and colleagues. May his memory continue to inspire all of the caregivers at CRH to persevere during these challenging times.
