Sheppard, 13, of Road 265N, Columbus, Ind., died at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Scott loved hanging out with his friends, especially Dakota, Kyle and his cousin Jordan. He loved fishing and spending time with his Grandpa Richard, who preceded him in death. Scott was born August 27, 1996, in Indianapolis, the son of Douglas Sheppard and Cuca Mary Herrera. Survivors include his father, of Columbus; his mother, of Columbus; sisters, Rosemary Herrera of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gabriel Herrera, Jennifer Herrera and Casey Purvis, all of Columbus, Ind. Scott was preceded in death by his uncle and grandparents. Funeral Information CALLING: 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
