Shannon R. Rutan

Shannon R. Rutan, 48, of Columbus, passed away January 9, 2021. Shannon was born January 21, 1972 in Kentucky, the daughter of Melvin and Margie Barrett Riley. She married Robin R. Rutan on October 23, 2004. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 13, 2021 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Stephens officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Shannon loved to play bingo, cards, and enjoyed horse racing. She is survived by her father; her husband; sons Jerry and Nick Eades; step-children Kyle (Missy) Rutan, Mallory (Brent) Comer, and Mikayla Rutan; 10 grandchildren; brothers Mike, Mark (Crissy), Brian (Tara), and Jamie Riley; as well as a sister Trish Hicks. She was preceded in death by her mother Margie Barret Stepp; a sister Katie Riley; as well as a niece Felecia Riley.
