Sharon Cathleen Klingler

Sharon Cathleen Klingler, 83, of Columbus, passed away Friday October 27, 2023 at her home. She was born May 23, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Cathleen Wilson.
Sharon was a member of St. Batholomew Catholic Church. She and Gerald help found the Bartholomew County Foster Parents Association and fostered over 35 children. Sharon was an avid fan of James Dean.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Church. Date and time of the service will be announced later. Memorial contributions in memory of Sharon may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana 2626 17th Street Columbus, IN 47201.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald, whom she married on February 13, 1965; sons, Daniel (Jay Langhurst) Klingler, Bryan (Cherie) Klingler and Edward (Lauri) Hendershot; daughters, Cathy (Paul) Klingler, Tonya Schneider, Krista Rain Spencer and Michelle Nelson; brother Mick (Carol) Wilson; son-in-law, Gene Chittenden; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lori Chittenden.
