Sharon James-Beabout, 67, of Columbus, passed away June 2, 2023 at her home. Sharon was born April 29, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Clyde W. and Charlene Holland Lowry. She married Jeffrey L. Beabout on June 29, 1990. Sharon was manager of Sleep Inn & Suites. She loved her job and the people that worked there. She was always planning parties and celebrations for special events they would have in their lives. Sharon loved holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all, Sharon loved her family. They were the most important thing in her life, and that was reflected in Sharon’s enthusiastic preparations for birthday parties, or any other celebration for events happening in her family’s lives. Sharon had a beautiful soul and was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Sharon is survived by her husband; her mother Charlene Dalmbert of Columbus; a son Justin M. James of Columbus; daughters Kristen T. Hyatt and Courtney M. James, both of Columbus; grandchildren Aaden Hyatt, Cheri and Matti Wolfe, Jesse, Lilly, and Gracie James, and Zoey Findley; siblings Mark A. (Amy) Lowry and Teresa K. (Mike) Lowry both of Paris Crossing; a niece Cori Warner and a nephew Drake Lowry; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Wednesday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society thru the funeral home.

  2. The most wonderful Mother! Momma you had a heart of Gold and showed everyone around you Pure True Love. I’ll never forget moving to Indiana and First thing you did was plop a watermelon on the picnic table and we had it with salt for the first time. Your Sweet sun tea, and your amazing Spaghetti. I’ll miss all your delicious Sharon Special’s! Christmas will never be the same without you Momma.

  3. Beautiful Sharon… No more sadness, nor pain but whole and perfect again. You will be missed here with us but never forgotten…. Oh what memories we have shared… like the time we acted out the Elvis movie ” Tickle Me”, and I just had to be AnnMargaret! Oh the funny memories, so many to share. As we grew older we didn’t have a lot of time together but in my heart, they remained. It is not Goodbye, but until we see each other again. Your beautiful presence will be empty but forever in my heart. Rest now my precious cousin… I love you Mailyn
