Sharon Kay Cash, 60, of Columbus, died on December 18, 2021 at 6:54 a.m. in Columbus Regional Hospital. Sharon was born June 14, 1961 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of the late James R. Cash and Eleeze Chaplin Cash.
Sharon was with Developmental Services, Inc. from 1979 to 2017. She was also employed with Cooks & Company and was a very dedicated worker. She participated and had many accomplishments in the Special Olympics. She was also an attendee of the Calvary Nazarene Church. Her enjoyment was going to church.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cash officiating. Calling hours will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
The service will be live-streamed at www.jewellrittman.com for those who cannot attend.
Memorial donations can be made to the Special Olympics, Calvary Nazarene Church, or Dementia/Alzheimer’s Association.
Survivors include brothers, James (Cindy) Lee Cash of Tennessee, Charles (Sharon) Cash of Greenwood and David Cash of Indiana; sisters, Carolyn Sue (James) Keaton of Hardy, Virginia, Barbara (Roger) Welch of Convoy, Ohio, Karen (Terry) Williams of Hope, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by parents and baby brother Gerald Cash.

Sharon was the sweetest person. She always asked about my family every time I would see her. She was amazing and accomplished a lot. I remember when she worked at Cooks and Company. She loved her job I remember your Mom and the many conversations we had about Sharon. Sharon loved participating in Special Olympics and was very proud of all her medals. Sharon was an angel on earth. She will missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
